Greatest Experience Ever During off days from their class sessions, students will experience private, fun and educational excursions to places such as the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge, a stunning bike ride around historic Stanley Park, site seeing and adventure activities in North Vancouver, learning and experiencing our nations history at the Museum of Anthropology, visits to the Vancouver Aquarium and Telus World of Science, tours of Granville Island and so much more!

Opening Ceremony

gabapentin and tylenol pm We kick off our 10-Day Inclusive Program with an eventful Opening Ceremony located in the heart of Gastown. After the students are debriefed on their academic course outlines and have received the full orientation on their excursions and activities, they will be treated to an amazing dinner at “The Old Spaghetti Factory”. This iconic restuarant has been around for over 40 years and besides its high quality food, students will have the opportunity to appreciate its history.

Stanley Park Adventures

blackjack one deck smarmily Students will be looking forward to the full day we got planned for them at Vancouver’s famous Stanley Park. First, our private coach takes the students on a full Stanley Park Tour, allowing them to experience all the history and discover all the famous landmarks. Next, the students are dropped off at The Vancouver Aquarium, in which they’ll have the opportunity to explore all the beautiful creatures of the sea. Lastly, after lunch, the students get to embark on the bicycle ride they will never forget. Bicycling along Vancouver’s most iconic sea-wall, the students will have loads of time to explore and just enjoy the ride!

Art Museum Experience

One of the most beneficial and educational excursions of our 10-Day Inclusive Program is our Art Museum Excursion. In the morning students are dropped off at the Museum of Anthropology where they will receive a full tour. The tour provides students with an introduction to Northwest Coast collections, the Koerner European Ceramics collection and the Multiversity Galleries. In the afternoon, students will be dropped off at the Vancouver Art Gallery where they will receive another full tour. The tour will explore both historical and contemporary works, and are led by experienced art professionals and educators. 

UBC Campus Tour

Stepping foot on UBC’s Vancouver campus is the best way for students to experience life at a global top 40 university. Their guided walking tour, led by one of UBC’s friendly and knowledgeable Student Ambassadors, will last approximately two hours and include:

  • a visit to a residence, a library, as well as our recreational and social facilities
  • an introduction to the many services available to students

After the tour, a Student Recruiter-Advisor will be available to answer any questions about UBC’s undergraduate academic programs, admissions information, scholarship opportunities, and more!

Science World Fun

During this fun packed day at Science World, Students prepare for an incredible journey through the curious collections of Mr. Ripley, the explorer extraordinaire who traveled the world collecting artifacts and stories from the remarkable people and places he encountered. Students also learn the science behind the most extreme animals to have ever lived, the complexities of human biology and get to marvel at the seemingly impossible collection of remarkable objects. 

Finally the students get hands on with some amazing artifacts, a wander through a model of the world’s largest snake and get to see how they measure up to the world’s tallest person. They might even discover a new dinosaur! 

Granville Island Tour

Students get to discover what makes Granville Island one of the most visited attractions in Canada. They will learn about how it has transformed from “Industrial Island” to become a place where visitors and locals alike gather to enjoy everything it has to offer.

​Starting from the edge of the island at 2nd and Anderson, this fun, interactive tour explores art, culture, food, our First Nations, history and much, much more! This tour gives the students a complete overview of the island and introduces them to some of the “hidden gems” often missed by most visitors.  After the tour is complete, the students will have free time to explore on their own and shop at the popular markets and shops.

Fly Over Canada Show

Students get to experience a once-in-a-lifetime show called the FlyOver Canada Show. FlyOver Canada utilizes state-of-the-art technology to give students the feeling of flight. They will hang suspended, feet dangling, before a 20-metre spherical screen while our film whisks you away on an exhilarating 8-minute journey across Canada, from east to west. Special effects, including wind, mist and scents, combine with the ride’s motion to create an unforgettable experience. Students always leave this show in amazement and with lots to talk about for days.

Vancouver Lookout Tower

The Vancouver Lookout provides a fun, entertaining, and educational introduction to the city. The tour provides an excellent overview of Vancouver and all it has to offer as well as the history and urbanization of the city, our mountain ranges, landmarks, our evolving skyline and architecture, and much more. The Vancouver Lookout is a must see attraction boasting:

  • Panoramic 360° views of Vancouver
  • 40-second ride in a glass elevator that whisks you skyward
  • Observation Deck is 553.16 feet (168.80m) above Vancouver
  • ESL Friendly and Beneficial

Lynn Canyon Park

Lynn Canyon Park is a gorgeous park beloved by visitors and locals alike, with lots of activities for all ages, including the Lynn Valley suspension bridge, waterfalls, mini hikes, and a swimming hole for summer.

From the park’s visitor centre, the area closest to the parking lots, where the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge, Ecology Centre, and Lynn Canyon Cafe are located, students get the chance to explore the park’s many hiking trails, which take you through the forest to scenic vistas, including the popular Twin Falls. After a short hike and tour, students will have the chance to relax and shop at the Ecology Centre and Lynn Canyon Cafe.

Capilano Suspension Bridge

Students will get super excited for Vancouver’s scenic Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. They will get the opportunity to explore the impressive collection of First Nations artwork and the historic Story Centre. From the spectacular Cliffwalk, students will gaze out over towering cedars and the Capilano River winding through the valley far below. Lastly students will take an exhilarating walk across the Capilano Suspension Bridge to the other side, where many unique and informative experiences await, including the TreeTops Adventure and many more activities!

Chinatown Tour

The private coach will drop students off to take a stroll through Vancouver’s Chinatown to get an up-close view of the fascinating culture. They will get to feel the unique and vibrant atmosphere of the lively Chinese market, herbal medicine shops and historical alleys as they are educated on the history of the town. At the Dr Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, they will take a break to relax and reflect on their experience.

Whistler Retreat

On the last day of the program, we team up with our Whistler Tour partner (Landsea Tours & Adventures) and take the students along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway which features various stops and viewpoints including Shannon Falls, the third highest waterfall in British Columbia. Pass by 2,125 metre (7,000 foot) high mountains, an ancient glacial fjord, and the second largest granite monolith in the world.

Finally arriving at Whistler Village, students experience towering mountains, sprawling forests, scenic strolls and adrenaline pumping activities with breathtaking views. After the tour, students enjoy four hours of free time in Whistler Village to explore, shop and dine or use their included admission tickets to the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre and Museum. 

Closing Ceremony & Gala Dinner

During the closing ceremonies, a wonderful gala dinner will be served to every student while the professionals in the field, teachers, and staff will give out the awards, acknowledgements and recommendations. Certificates of Completion will be presented as well as group photos and a farewell career advancement information package.

The gala dinner has a semi-formal dress code and the dinner itself will be prepared from a catered chef. Our chef prepares the buffet style menu special for our program. The students will enjoy the buffet meal and dessert in-between presentations and awards. After the dinner and ceremony, there will be time for the students to dance, socialize and relax after all their hard work and dedication to this program.
